The National Assembly of ATENA associates was held

The National Assembly of the associates of ATENA (Naval Technologies Association) was held, preceded by the board of directors represented by the presidents of the sections and thematic groups. An opportunity to share the objectives of the association, illustrated by the president Alberto Moroso in his report, with the significant results achieved in the last year.
ATENA has been present in the main national events of the sector, with contributions from its Members, with sponsorships, with exchanges and technical-scientific collaborations, such as HSMV 2021, seminars for the Genoa Boat Show, Genoa Shipping Week, Shipping 4.0 and Remtech.
The recognition obtained by the President of the Inland Waters Thematic Group Dino Telesca, elected Vice President of the European CEMT Association, is commendable, confirming the professionalism and competence of Italian professionals. Among the next ATENA programs, the NAV 2022 conference, the main Italian scientific event on the themes of naval and marine technology, from 15 to 17 June in Genoa and La Spezia. During the meeting, the final budget for 2020 and the budget for 2021 were approved.


ATENA – Assarmatori associate member – has been established in Genoa in 1947 by a group of Italian naval engineers, as a continuation of the College of Naval and Mechanical Engineers, with a broader program aimed at disseminating culture, technical updating, information and discussion of problems related to all forms of naval and maritime activity, taking the name of COLLEGIO DEGLI INGEGNERI NAVALI E MECCANICI – ITALIAN ASSOCIATION OF NAVAL TECHNIQUE.
In February 1948 the first NATIONAL NAVAL TECHNIQUE CONFERENCE took place, which immediately attracted numerous operators from the national maritime world: engineers, teachers, researchers, shipowners, insurers.
Since that moment, its Members have provided competent professional contributions in the field of ship design, construction and management, with a focus on transport safety and the prevention of the marine environment.
