Negotiations commenced in Rome yesterday for the renewal of the 15 sections comprising the single National Collective Agreement for the maritime sector, which is set to expire on December 31st.
The General and National Secretariats of FILT-CGIL, FIT-CISL, Uiltrasporti and the delegations of Confitarma, Assarmatori, Assorimorchiatori and Federimorchiatori, at the end of this first meeting, emphasized that “there is a need to identify adequate responses to promote the development and employment of the sector, within the common vision of the centrality of the maritime industry, to enhance its strategic importance for the development of the country also in the framework of the National Collective Labor Agreement which concerns over 70.000 workers”.
The parties have defined tight schedule of technical meetings wherein the numerous topics at the center of the sector’s interests will be addressed in detail.
